theres a couple turbo v6's that i know of one guys name is badbird he put out 336rwhp and 397 rwtq with his v6 turbo

In California, this is not true. We have the toughest smog laws anywhere, and yet the state allows you to swap engines. You do have to use the same make, same or later year engine, and it has to be from the same application (car or truck). For example, you could take a 95 V6 car and put in a 02 LS1 engine.

It is completely legal, as long as all the smog equipment is installed as on the original application and functioning correctly.

Yea just watch out for the insurance though if you do a 6 to 8 swap and don't tell the insurance company...because if you knowingly do this to avoid higher insurance rates it is called insurance fraud as far as I know...so if you get in an accident and they find out you are basically screwed....
