Would the LT4 conversion kit be a good thing to get to upgrade my car? Or are there better ways...Also if anyone can point me towards LT4 headers and dual exhaust system that would be good too.

 

I don't have the LT4 conversion kit. But have read some on it. Really it depends on what you want. It is definately better than stock, but you could port your heads and put a cam in and it would be better than the LT4 package and a lot cheaper.

Their are no LT4 headers, at least not that i've seen. Most people like the Hooker longtubes, Jethots, SLP Shorties, or Arizona Speed & Marine.

there are lt4 exhaust manifolds , i think they are slp , made for the lt4 ss' in 97. Other than that ANY Lt1 Header or exhaust will fit lt4 heads.

 

The problem with that lt4 kit is that it does not gain as much as t claims. The test the ran had long tubes and other bolt ons. Get a good heads/cam setup and some bolt-ons and you'll be in good shape. Start with the smaller stuff, like a cold air intake, to pave the way for bigger mods.

 

What do you have on your car now.???? If you already have some small mods like CAI. I would suggest some headers, exhaust and a good Torque converter. It's hard to say without knowing what you have already. If you have them go get yourelf a set of heads (or P&P yours) and a cam with some 1.6 rockers. All that would be way better and cheaper than the LT4 kit.
