Does anyone know how i can get better throttle response in my 1995 z28 lt1? I want it to where i can barely tap on the gas and it will rev up fast? anyone know how to do that? thanks

 

125-shot of nitrous, a 6# blower, or an STS rear mount turbo. All can be installed on a stock block LT1 in decent condition.

Might help if Sick95Z28 tells us what his budget it. A minimum nitrous setup, with all the safety devices will set him back as much as $1,000.... the S/C or turbo will cost 3X to 4X that amount. Then add in the cost of upgrading the drivetrain and suspension, and it gets expensive.

The 8-second "aggressive" setup might be more like $30-50K, when all the costs are included.

 

Some preventive maintenance will go a long way in helping you get better throttle response.First make sure air filter is clean,better yet get a lifetime one.Next spray some wd-40/or similiar on the throttle linkage,and then finally spray throttle body cleaner on the butterflies of t/b.This might even result in better mileage as your not using as much throttle to achieve speed,also improved drivability

I would do a tune up (plugs wires, fuel+air fliter) and see what happens.


How many miles on your car?
Do you have stock gears?

If all you want is the motor to rev fast put in a 4.10 gear. Done deal.
