LT1 Scat 9000 crankshafts - anyone here running them?

Anyone running the scat 9000 series crankshafts on their lt1 ?
I'm doing a 355 and planning on using scats 4340 forged I beam rods , to go along with my forged pistons I already have.

I was thinking of upgrading the crankshaft to the scat 9000 if it is as strong or stronger then the stock cast lt1 crankshaft.

I may stroke it to a 383 with their 3.75" crank if the crank is good enough to hold some power. I'm not looking for big big numbers, just a mild to moderate street car with some spray.

If anyone is running them please let me know.
thanks again in advance..
Paul

Yes on this too, used the 9000 stroker crank and it's strong enough.

But if you go 355 a stock unhurt LT1 crank with a polishing is going to work just as well.

I ordered a 9000 crank for my 383 with 4340 rods and sealed power forged pistons. Heard the 9000 series is plenty strong. I also await other responses.

thanks again there SSace...
See I thought of the idea of just doing a budget 383 also since the price is right on the 1piece int. balance 3.75" crank for the scat 9000 series.

I just do not know the limit of it, if it is rated at 600 hp or less or more.. that is all.

If I run a 355 I will be running a stock crank, and not purchasing another since the crank I have is in good shape and came with my 355 shortblock. I'm just wanting to strengthen the bottom end as much as I can so I don't have a " ticking timebomb "

I now have forged FM (speed pro ) 355 pistons on stock lt1 rods. (they came in my 355 short block I bought ) I may just sell them together, and purchase some new stroker pistsons if I go with a 383 which I would like to do, but then again I may just stay simple and stick with stock stroke.

thanks again.. If anyone has a number limit on what the 9000 cranks are good to, that would be great. thanks!

I am running a 9000 series crank. For 225 its hard to beat. It is supposedly stronger than cast but not quite as strong as a forged unit. I am just waiting for my converter and PCM tune to come back and I'll be able to run it but I was assured it would be strong enough by the machine shop. I hope for close to 400 RWHP so we'll see.

I'll take a shot at the hp rating....500 @ 6500 rpm.
