It sounds to me like you're either running REALLY lean, or your timing is way off for some reason. I'm wondering if the opti is trash...

Yes, glowing manifolds is either timing WAY off, or egts are through the roof which could be running way lean for some reason...

Chasing the same thing on my motor right now too.

When you check the elbow, check the tube on the bottom of the elbow, see what kind off condition its in....

Well, i'll be sure to ask the mechanic to check the elbow, Intake etc, but today he's putting the plugs and wires in, can someone tell me why GM made it so hard to change plugs on the LT1's and if theres any easy way to do it.
