the biggest diff is 4 bolt main and 2 bolt main the lt1 has a 2 bolt and the lt4 has a 4 bolt there are other things like the intake, cam, and valve train but I think the 4 and 2 bolt main is the biggest
please correct me if im wrong

All Corvette LT1's are 4-bolt mains, and all F-Body factory "replacement" (warranty) LT1's had 4-bolt mains. There is absolutely no difference between a C4 LT1 and a C4 LT4 block.

When doing my rebuild, I searched for a C4 block for the 4 bolt main, everyone I found had a 2 bolt. Were there years that the c4 had a 2 bolt?

Anyhow, the cam, rockers and heads are the biggest difference. If you are just trying to tell which you have, the color of the intake is the easiest thing to look at, as the LT4 came with a red powder coated intake.

92-96 lt1 vettes were 4 bolt mains.....any block from a vette from those years should be 4 bolt mains.

I got my block from a 93 Vette and it has 4 bolt mains in center section (the ends are still only two bolts) but all factory Vette LT1's should be 4 bolts or it came out something else.

on the heads under the valve covers the lt4 heads have lt4 cast on the top of one of the intake runners. all vette blocks are 4 bolt mains.. if you have a 2 bolt main in a vette someone must have swapped the block. also for lt4's the vin number would be a "5" not a "P".
