LT1/LS1 shootout?

Any updates on this? That idea really got my juices flowing. If it doen't come off, maybe I should organize one here in Buffalo?

I will, but if I am going to organize something I would really need to think about classes.

Any ideas?

I would be interested in something somewhat close to my area. Classes are a good idea maybe something like...

True Street Tire with anything

Drag radials/ET Street Bolt-on's no power adders
Drag radials/ET Street Bolt-on's with power adders

Slicks no power adders
Slicks with power adders

Or just divide classes by the times...

From my experience, there is a big difference between ET Steets and drag radials. ET Streets give traction (and times) comparable to racing slicks. Drag radials are typically ~0.2sec slower in the 60'.

I'm gonna give this some thought, but it sounds like fun. I am thinking late summer.

Four classes:
Radials - without power adders
Radials - with power adders
Slicks/ET Streets without power adders
Slicks/ET Streets with power adders

No BS time classes or bracket racing!!!!

It is still on. Should be a huge gathering if SLP in Ennis was any show of what we should expect here. If you check out LS1tech. com you should see all the info you would like to know. Weather will be in the 60's compared to the cold and windy day in Ennis a couple of weeks ago.
Looking to do a little LS1 spanking. LT1's showed up the LS1's in Ennis and I look for the treand to continue here.
I myself will be running in the heads up race. Capping the cut-out and reprogramming my shifts a little weaker to run a nice 13.00 flat most of the time. Going in the 13.00-13.99 index heads up racing class.
