CNC Cylinder Heads used to key stock LT1 hubs, but I'm not sure if they are still in business - the website hasn't been finished for years:

ATI sells both steel and aluminum keyed hubs. I suspect that they will only work with the ATI dampner but the quality is excellent.

They still do. Here's the part numbers:

Bought one from Jegs for my 95 not to long ago and it's excellent quality. Here are the links:

FYI - Your stock HBalancer/pulley will bolt right up (just have to pull the guide dowl pin)

Let me know if you need any advise or have any questions.

Where would a guy index the key if he had the ability to key one himself?

Go to any autoparts store or even Ace Hardware and you can buy a bag of various sizes of keys. The stock crank has a key slot (just not key'd from the factory), but I am not exactly sure what size the stock key is so try different sizes.

FYI - if you meant key the hub, then pretty much any auto machine shop can do it for you ranging from 20-50 bucks depending up on their knowledge and prices.

Where would a guy position the key slot on the hub when keying a hub himself? I can slot the hub myself. Just need to know where to put it.

Mark where the empty slot is on the crank snout relative to the hub when you remove it and notch the hub there.
