Question lt1 intake elbow

what the hell is that long tube attached to the intake elbow and what is it used for. ? can it be removed ?

Thats a silencer.... It can be removed, you just have to fab a plug...

moroso makes a billett alum block off plate just for that, but hey duct tape fixes everything.

Or you can pick up a 1LE elbow that eliminates the silencer.

Or you can take a shampoo bottle and jam it up there. Perfect fit.
