As you can see, they are reliable cars and they're great performance cars as well. They'll do fine on the road trip. They may not be so comfortable though if you have more than one passenger.

These cars love to cruise!!! Run great at 80 (2000 RPM) Seats aren't too fat guy friendly for long distance. By the way what are you complaining about 25 MPG??? thats 10 better than my pick-up. I'd almost think you guys have some rice in the driveway!!!! lol

its the only car i love taking long trips in at least twice a month in the summer i take a 5 hour to , and then 5 hour back trip. my bum never hurts any other car ive ever had or we currently have, my behind starts hurting after about 2 hours. its the last thing i ever expected from this car. i was certain it would hurt. other than that, t-tops off, music blaring, 100 mph, i just love it.

I'm orriginally from New York and now live in Missouri. Whenever I travel back home, (it's a 1,300 mile excursion) I always take my Trans-Am for that trip! It's great on gas on the highway.

I love taking my car on road trips. The only thing that can make the trip uncomfortable is loud **** exhaust for 5 straight hours and a vibrating steel driveshaft when going over 90 mph, but I got the 1LE driveshaft to take care of that

For me...the exhaust rumble is one of my favorite parts of a trip! T-tops off and going through a 2 mile tunnel in 4th or 5th gear at 70-80 mph is one of the most pleasureable, jean creaming experiences that's almost as good as sex that you could ever have!

The drone of my exhaust puts me to sleep after an hour. I've retired mine from road trips.

But I've put some miles on it before, I think the seats are pretty damn comfy. But, miles are starting to count on my car, so I let it rest as often as I can.

Havent had mine for a trip yet, had car for 10 months now. but i would image the exhaust getting a bit annoying, now with 3.73's, crusiing at 3k, hehe. actually, might not be bad.

I've been taking my car back and forth from Charlotte, NC to Raleigh, NC for college and I haven't had a single problem yet.

long trips

i'am from canada, calgary infact and i took the car from calgary to vancover BC in 8 hours and 36 minuits.......what a ride........i had new tires on and the engine had just been rebuild......new edelbrock valves springs guides.......and rods............average speed was approx 145 klm..............this car in my opinion was built for long distance runs......passing in the mountians is so easy ......drop from 6th to 5th or even 4th for more torque............the mustangs fell so far behind in the inclines that they dissapeared.... too funny~

I have driven my car to Utah from where I live in Florida 5 times in the last 4 years. That trip is over 2,000 miles each way. I have never had a minutes problem and on an average got around 27 mpg. My rearend never hurt and these cars are awsome to travel in so I say go for it
