LT1 engine swap

I have a 99 v-6 camaro with a bad engine and a wrecked 93 Z. I would like to take the drive train out of the Z and put in in the 99. Is there any way of making this work, if so what all would it take? I have done engine swaps before but never with a fuel injected vehicles. Any input would be helpful

I think it can be done, the real issue is the fact the `93 is OBDI, and the `99 is OBDII, and where I live it affects your emission testing method ODBI use sniffer, OBDII use a scanner, plus there is a little thing that some states don't allow backward engine swaps. So you could put a `99 engine in a `93, but not the other way.

So my suggestion is do a little research on emission testing where you live and if you do the swap, send pictures!

There's a "sticky" on the "V6 Tech" forum that contains numerous posts regarding engine swaps.
