When this post opens, all I see is the word “Spoiler” followed by a small square with e “+” sign...... nothing else. Have to click the “+” for your text to show up.

Never saw this as long as I've been on this sight. What did you do?

Re: Lt1 carb swap issues

I believe there are at least three different LT1 crank hub lengths - there is a long hub for the 93-95 F-Body, a shorter one for the 96/97 F-Body that allows space for the reluctor ring required for the crank position sensor added for OBD-2 misfire detection, and variations to match the requirements of the B-Body and Y-Body accessory drives. I have no way to know which one you are calling “OEM”. Shoebox has the part #’s for the two F-Body versions in his parts listing:

1993-1997 F-Body Part Number Collection

I don’t know anything about the B-Body or Y-Body hubs. ATI offers various hub lengths for their Super Damper.

Others here have used the Cloyes double roller, so maybe they know the answer to hub length. I run the LT4 Extreme Duty single roller, with the stock length (non-reluctor) hub from ATI with their damper.

The pulley is a harmonic damper, not a balancer.

As far as the valve cover/alternator interference, does the tall passenger side valve cover have the cutaway on the front for the alternator, like the Canton cover? Again, I didn't have a problem with fitting a 0.590” lift, 1.6X roller rocker valve train under stock covers, so no problem with stock alternator.
