crank hub adapter and harmonic balancer options???
Getting an eagle crank with 1/4 key because of my supercharger.. I probably will have the crank machined a 2nd regular key if it doesn't come with both. So I'm looking for a hub adapter to replace my stock pressed one that isn't keyed.. as well as replacing my harmonic balancer. I see the term "dampers" not sure what this refers to or if it refers to the harmonic balancer as well.
Also don't want to run into timing cover fitting issues if the hub adapter too big?

Do a search for ATI BB Hub. It's a hub with increased wall thickness to prevent hub cracking when running big power with a blower. Requires a new or modified timing cover though.

Or, if you don't want to have more machine work done

You'll end up spending about a grand but an ATI Super Damper with the BBC hub and a TPIS billet timing cover with the extended face to fit a Cloyes double roller timing chain works beautifully. You'll need an electric water pump if you don't already have one. The setup will also clear a 24x system. Also, ASP Racing has the dimensions on file to build blower pulleys for it.

Re: crank hub adapter and harmonic balancer options???
thanks guys, I talked to Charlie at ATI and ordered per his suggestion.. going with bigger hub with 1/4 keyway and a 3/16 keyway.. damper pulley.. and a 2.25" seal for my timing cover. They don't have a timing cover for that will fit my LT1, I would have to send it in and they would machine it. But My machine shop will do it. with bolts came to like about $680. Then I need to get a timing chain on top of that, and machine my extra keyway on my new crank, and machine the timing cover.

Re: crank hub adapter and harmonic balancer options???
I haven't researched that far in yet as far as the water pump. But my waterpump was changed last year when my opti went and got the msd distributor. So I should convert and switch to electric? How's the set up on that with the gear driven "Spot" and the electric pump runs off a pulley and electric as well?

If you run an electric pump then you'll need to have the hole for the water pump drive shaft welded shut or pick up a new cover that doesn't have one.
