I like the Moroso on mine too, it fits great and it has a heat shield to help keep engine bay air away from the filter. only thing though is you have to drill a hole for the bolt for the metal shield and you have to get under the car to get at the air filter. although I do wonder how well a CAI can get cooler air in if you still have a stock thermostat and fan setings with the air ducts going near the radiator and thermostat housing with 225 degree coolant going through them, not to mention if you haven't done a TB bypass and coolant going through the TB.

There is a ling for sale in the FS section right now. They are great, and have a HUGE K&N on them.

Made me happy. No probs with it either. Like everything else in the LT1 bay, it was a very snug fit between the radiator corner and some brake lines. Connecting the K&N filters underneath was a bit fun. Use a small socket and ratchet and it's mindless.

At times you can actually hear the air whoosh, or being drawn into the intake. Seriously. You think you have an intake leak but you'll get use to it.

Good luck and enjoy...

of course i'm not expecting a 45 hp gain, the only reason i said i have been through so many intakes b/c of fitment and performance, performance wise i was talking about the G2 intake which is just a larger version of the stock airbox and just seems kinda silly.....but as i said it was a gift.

i dynoed a few months with my stock airbox, and it was a significant loss of RWHP, so a CAI definitley helps especially with my mods.

i went ahead and ordered the lingenfelter. it should be here soon hopefully!

I am happy with my SLP CAI as well. Fits great, works great, looks great. Only complaint is that the powdercoating has chipped a bit on mine.

I checked a few months back (called) and they don't make them anymore. Although, if someone here knows different please speak up.

What about doing the LS1 conversion CAI? I have seen them and they look sweet. I have the Moroso and I think I want to change it to the LS1 style or the SLP one.

I have the GMPP, it was one of the 1st mods I did and I really noticed a difference. It's like the SLP that you're talking about except in chrome. It's worked well for me, aside from the filters being a lil tought o get on/off I like it. Plus it offers a really neet whisle like sound that turns allot of heads
