Lt1 383 stoker... broken crank.
Hey guys,
Im interested in knowing more about this motor which im looking at. Its got a stroker kit in it with stock cam and rebuilt heads to stock specs. Looks like its a steel scat crank and it broke at the front main. Over tighened? Its a clean break and with no signs in the cylinder walls and turns freely with the broken front part of the crank removed. Just wondering what could have went wrong and is it worth it to get the engine fixed or stay away.

Id assume stock. Just a basic stroker kit with stock rebuilt heads and stock cam. Im staying well clear of this as its prob going to cost about another 2k for what a stock 383 thats not even forged.
