Re: LT-1 Hot cam kit

This cam swap requires, at least to remove the front end off the motor minus the accessory bracket, intake manifold removal, spring and roller rocker swap, and tune.

I am being very generic on the change, its a big one, so dont let it fool you.

As for power it should put you in the low-mid 300 range but again your drive train will change that about 15 hp. Like hving a 6 speed will have more power to the rear wheel than a auto.

Also you need to get it tuned. http://www.pcmforless.com Bryan does excellent work!

Also supporting mods and porting of the heads will help power as well

Can't suggest anywhere to get it done unless you post your location. My brother has a shop close to Bowling Green, KY. He's the one that helped me.

I live in South East South Dakota , zip code of 57069 but I am willing to drive to get it done. I would love to put my motor on around the 375-400 mark with cam, head, exhaust.

If you want serious power, talk to Lloyd Elliot at www.eportworks.com. He can hook you up with the right parts to make around 375hp to the rear wheels.

Talk to Andy at www.dynotuneusa.com, they are located in Watertown South Dakota. They do alot of work on mustangs, vettes, and vipers. They don't have any programs to tune a LT1 yet but I talked to them last summer and Andy said they might be getting LT1 edit this summer.

Re: LT-1 Hot cam kit

The LT4 stuff be it the cam or the heads get FAR morte press and attention than they deserve. Yes they work and guys do go fast but they are not great from either a power or stanpoint or in the case of the heads bang for the buck. There are several vendors here that will easily deliver you more power for less money someone already mentioned Lloyd Elliot/eportworks there is also www.advancedinduction.com and I am very sure others as well but those are the two you will read most about.

The tuning mentioned above is going to be required, if you are unwilling to tune the car don't bother modifying it, pcmforless.com is one good choice as is madz28.com or fastchip or Jeff Creech or a host of others. Don't limit yourself to the first name you hear, for almost every product we want there are multiple good vendors so do some reading and understand your options.
