square root of (new psi over old psi) x old lbs/min = new lbs/min

24.25 lbs/min

LT1's are 24.91 lbs/min

So due to the different fuel pressures used (3 and 4 bar), they really are the same size injectors.

From what I have researched all injector ratings are at 3 bar. A 28 lb LS1 is 28 lb at 3 bar even though it runs at 4 bar. Has anyone installed them in a stock or bolt on car and not had to tune it ? I have a set and I"m still looking for the correct answer.

Not actual measured but I bought some 32lbs LS1 injectors programmed the pcm for the 28psi those were at LT1 pressures and BLMs were fine but I maxxed them out so I put an adjustable regulator on and jacked pressure to 58psi and programmed to 32lbs and again BLMs were fine and I no longer maxxed them out.

All circumstantial but to me that all points to them being 32 at 58 and 28 at 43.5.

I also think maybe you are confusing the SVOs, those I have seen some claims of being rated at 43.5 even though Ford runs them at 39psi.

I have since swapped to 36lbs and a stock regulator.

At one point Racetronix sold the injectors I had and they rated them 28 at 43.5 and 32 at 58.

Not all injectors are flow rated at 3bar. While many are, check this chart to find injectors that are flow rated as low as 1bar, and others that are rated at higher than 3bar.

The fuel injector application table in the book by Christopher Endres ("Chevy LS1/LS6 Performance") confirms that the LSx injectors are flow rated at 4bar (58psi).

i put Ls1 injectors in my car a while back since i had 2 leaking stockers..i emailed Madtuner to see if i would need a retune for the Ls1 injectors and he said it was not needed. my car runs the same minus the leaking injectors.

Thank's for your input. That is the chart that I have. The injector in question is from a 2002 LS1 part #0 280 155 931. rated @ 28 lb. According to the chart, it's 28.55 lb @ 43.5 psi or 3 bar. Then again I found another article I stuffed in my injector box where someone flow tested the same injector. It was from '05, the mystic wizard, .685sg 25.7 @ 3 bar, 30.0 @ 4 bar. With a
.770sg it was 24.28 @ 3 bar and 28.28 @ 4 bar. Thank's again.

I had Madz28 tune my car for them. My LT1 injectors were going out, and I had a set of LS1 injectors. He said it's less pressure and recommended adding them to the tune.
