If i was to put LS1 heads on an LT1 what else would i need to do and get?

 

Not gonna work, blocks are different. Port your LT1 heads.

 

The heads from the engines, and all other coponets for that matter are not compattible, at all. Instead of listing all of the reasons why, I'll let the pictures do the talking.

The most obvious difference just looking at teh heads shoudl be the equal port spacing of the LS1 heads compared to the LT1 castings where the inner 2 exhaust ports are close together. The LS1 engine design is totally different.

also.... Lt1 heads have 5 bolts around each cyl bore...

Ls1s only have 4 .........just thought I would share
