Low RPM stumble and misfire?
Low RPM stumble and misfire?
Lately I've noticed that when my car is idling it sounds like small misfires. To me it sounds like two misses because the exhaust has like two i guess you could call them "puffs" per revolution (1-8cyl). By puffs I mean like the noise a puff makes coming out of a pipe. That's the best way I could think to describe it Also at idle my RPMs bounce a little from 800-500ish. To add on the bouncing RPMs when I'm parked and I give it some gas to make it rev to say 2kRPM the engine will rev to 2k, but when it hits 2k the revs will drop to 1700RPMs and bounce around there. I'm not sure if this happens while I'm coasting down the road; if it is, it's not as noticeable. Now the low RPM stumble I mentioned only from what I can tell takes place when I'm taking off from a stand still. When it happens my car's RPMs will climb then drop repeatedly and then at about 2kRPMs it just magically "catches" and no more stumbling. I checked my plugs to see if it was the cause and these are what a couple looked like.

I took these pictures awhile ago so I can't remember which one goes on which cylinder. I'm pretty sure the two white/grey tipped ones were on the left side of the motor and all the ones on the right were black rimmed with dark brown tips. I'm no spark plug expert and was wondering if you could tell anything from how they looked.
