Can we assume your car is OBD-I and you are getting DTC 16, for low resolution pulse not detected? Is the engine running? If the engine runs, you have a "stored" code, since the engine can not run if DTC 16 is an "active" code. Lacking the low res pulse, the PCM shuts down the injectors and fuel pump.

It is not unusual to see an intermittent DTC 16 stored... sometimes happens when the PCM can't find the pulse immediately on startup. Did this code only show up after the MSD install?

Low res is an opti code #16. I get this code now and again(1 time every month) even though i put 3 optis in trying to get rid of it. If it runs good and no timing is getten pulled leave it. I reset the ecm to get rid of code.
