loudmouth question
loudmouth question
All right guys ... I like the idea of the borla but i dont like the price so ... can someone tell me if this would work or not. Buy a loudmouth..... Then replace the muffler it has with a pipe then buy a bullet muffler and stick it where most mufflers go. Then put a flange for the pipe coming straight off.. that way i can swap plates just as easily as with the borla and i would be having a "professional" shop do it all... so would it work or am i just wasting my time thinking about this. All the in the name of saving a few hundred lol o well

hmmm.... well im thinking of doing what borla has done but with a slp loudmouth so it is about 400$ cheaper.... im dont think i made myself clear with what im thinking about doing... so let me give it another shot. All right the muffler on the slp is before the axel.. so my idea is replace that with a straight pipe... then run a bullet muffler or the stock muffler off the slp in the pipe that splits at the end... so one of my tail pipes is straight thru....and the other that bends off has the bullet muffler and then i can put plates in with a flange... Anyone understand what im saying or am i just spinning my wheels?
Re: loudmouth question
I understand, but with a bullet muffler there and then compared to the sound of the open cut-out, it would almost be the same. I used to have a cut-out on my car, then I put a TSP Rumbler on it, and I can't tell any difference in the sound. Its just as loud.
Re: loudmouth question
well...the thing is with that muffler that borla does is point less.....how it bends and goes to the muffler.....most of it goes out the straight pipe and my buddy has the set up done on his car that you want to do....have a cut out on the straight pipe.....i would not do it......no point almost sounds the same....but its your car so do what you want
