loss of power, throttle response, it just sucks!!

I first installed ngk tr-6's on the setup listed below. all ran fine. i decided that i could and probably should go a heat range higher, so i went and bought some ngk tr-55's. I bought a new set of Jeg's power wires to put on too. so i install everything and all is fine (plugs at .045" is what i gapped them). runs great for a day. next day i'm out letting some friends drive with me and all the sudden it starts jerking and losing power. ever since, it gets worse everyday. it will barely have any power, and then just kick in....it seems to like high rpm's better than low. if you rev it, it will just slowly build speed. if you floor it, it take like 3 seconds to repsond...basically power is down, it sputters and throttle response sucks..... then you can hop in the car 20 minutes later and it drives 90% better, with only some jerking.... I'd like to think it's the wires, but i don't see any sings of burn or wear on the wires i had taylors before... they worked, but i had to rig them bad to get them away from the headers. the only other thing is the gap, but there's no way its that crucial....Only other thing i can think of is arching.....???

take the car somewhere at night where it will be pitch dark and turn the motor on and pop the hood. that's the best way to see if they're arching. rev it up from the tb and see if it gets better or worse at higher rpm's if that's the case. i have taylor's otvc wires with the 2000* boot protectors on the wire from the spark plug up so there is no chance of them burning on the headers. works awesome for me

I had a similar problem with my 95' twice.. First time was a toasted plug wire. Second time was the ignition control module.. lol.. Hope it's a plug wire.. Also, check to make sure that all your plugs are seated..

Sounds stupid, but, at this point, what can it hurt.
