when i hit the gas i got lots of power but if i hit the throttle a little hard or trying and floor it the car goes nowhere and the engine revs. theres come kind of power distribution problem. anyone have any ideas? my first thought is that the torque converter is slipping.

Any chance the tires have lost traction and are just spinning. Not uncommon for first or second gear

 

My guess would be the tranny is going out,

tires arent spinning, seems like the tranny slips outts gear. i have a small tranny line leak that i need to replace the line to fix, would this slight loss of pressure cause the give out?

 

aaaaaaaaaaa....your bands are gone in your 4L60E, and its time for a rebuild if the traction thing is not your problem... dont beat on it because pretty soon you will go no where and youll have the prettiest paper-weight in your neighborhood

 

well that sucks. any way to know how long i have? im not gunna have money for about 6 months and i wont rebuilt ill go with a 6 speed but i need it to last as long as possible.
