The pacesetter Y-pipe fits pretty good and tucks up underneath nicely

Yeah, you can't go wrong with the pacesetter y-pipe. Also, the pacesetter headers are a slip-fit style so your choices of y-pipes are limited to pacesetter's very own unless you decide to weld flanges onto your headers.

I would suggest having flanges welded up to your headers with whatever y-pipe you decide to get. If you do not use three bolt flanges, definetly do not use the regular horseshoe style clamps.

I have the pacesetter y pipe with the pacesetter lt's and it was a 5 minute job to install it. Very nice fit.

Get the Pace Setter Y-pipe and then use the stainless band clamps. That way if you need to pull the pipe apart it will come off with ease. I think I paid $7.00 for each one over at Napa.

I have the pacesetter LT and ORY. I had planned to use the stainless band clamps, ended up welding to get rid of leaks at the bands.

Re: Looking for a good off road 3' Y pipe?

i just used the pacesetter y-pipe and the bolts that came with it

I made sure the y-pip was on the header really good then put the Ubolt connectors on and tightened them as hard as i could..........needless to say i tried to take one side off, and i tightened it so hard that it bent the y-pipe down on the header so i dont think it will ever just slide off..............however i have still yet to determine if i have a leak or not

but i think im just gonna take it to a exhaust shop and have them weld it up nicely because as it sits now i dont think it will come off anyways.........and if i ever take it out, i will go true duals so i can just cut the y-pipe off.
