Re: LLoyd Elliot H/C Finally completed!

It's wierd, reading your posts I figured you guys were talking about my car, lol. I'm going to have to go back and adjust my rockers with the car running this time, I bet they are too tight. My y-pipe also hits the cross member, I'm just going to use spacers or "massage" it a little bit to clear, lol. Mine just got on the road this past weekend after the new engine was put in and only has about 50 or so miles on it, but is anyone having a problem with low rpm or part throttle driving? By low I mean around 2K. I seem to have what might be a little cam surge, but not sure if anyone else has experienced it. Over all I am very pleased with my LE purchase and between the bang for the buck and customer service I would recommend him to anyone.

Thanks,
Anthony

Anthony,

tight rockers can hold the valves open and will do some goofy things to vacuum and the a/f ratio too.

That might be some of the surging. Tuning will take care of the rest. There is a guy named Scott (817-431-4150) that can do some hands on tuning since you are a local guy.

i had mine adjusted 1 full turn past zero lash for 3 months, and the car ran great,,,then after reading on here to back them to 1/8th or 1/16th of a turn i backed them off to only 1/4 turn past zero lash and they were noisy as ****,,ticked real bad. when i put mine back together i'm going 1 full turn again.
