LLoyd Elliot H/C Finally completed!

Well, I finally got the transmission working the dumbass mechanic ended up having to take the shift kit completely out cus he couldnt get it working right.. but i have a tune by brian from pcm for less and its still shifting fairly firm with the 2800 vig. I put stage 2 heads with an LE1 cam on and damn this thing is fast shifting at 6200-6300 rpms im not really sure i feel like im playing need for speed underground when i get it up at that point so i dont really have time to look at the tach.. All i need to do is get an update tune and loosen the rocker arms(dumbass mechanic again) and put on my x pipe(im running jet hot lt's into a jet hot y pipe and the stock pipe that goes to the stock muffler which is 2otl). Overall I am very pleased thanks to lloyd elliot for the excellent customer service and work. I got more customer service from him than i did my local shop.

it idles kindof rough like up and down it doesnt stay steady at an rpm do you guys think its because of the 1/4 turn on the valve adjustment? I have comp R lifters and pro mag 1.6's

Yes adjust those rockers agian. You only need a 16th of a turn. Do a search on compr s. You will find the info. I have installed lloyds combos before, and they work great. Yet another satisfied customer of lloyds...keep up the good work. Talk to you soon.

im slowly saving up to have lloyd port my heads but my home ported piles of crap will have to do for now. How much do you think he would charge to just port heads that have already been worked over a bit?

congrats on the car...i hope the tranny and rearend like it as much as you do hehe.

You might also want to raise the idle RPM a tad too to help the fluxuations with it.

I have the same head/cam combo, should be on the dyno soon. Haven't taken it above 5000 yet though. Only have 100 miles on it so far (stupid snow). I'm probably being overly cautious but I want to make sure the springs & converter get broken in.

My headers or y-pipe are banging against something under my car also... I think im just going to buy some poly motor mounts and see if that fixes it. What will I need to unhook to jack the motor up like 1/2 an inch?

Mine were hitting against the cross member. I replaced it with a driveshaft safety loop.
