In-Line Fuel Pump Installation Q--Please Help!
My 1995 camaro's fuel pump seems to be acting up and all. Instead of cutting up the interior and doing the swap, I was thinking of buying an MSD in-line pump and installing it. My question is whether anything has to be done to the original pump in order for the new MSD unit to work? Do I have to cut the main power to the original pump or do I leave it alone and install the new MSD pump on a relay tapping into the original pumps power supply, ie. MSD coming on only when the power to the o.e. is on.
Thanks,
Need to do this today or tomorrow so please give me some feedback.

You need to remove the stock pump if you do this. You're not going to be able to suck fuel through the dead pump. So in your case, my guess is you'll be better off just replacing the stock pump.

I called the guys at MSD up and they said I did not have to remove the o.e. pump. They said the 2225 inline pump would be enough as a standalone system for the car. I am going to install a walbro instead, as I did on my 94.
Thanks for the advice.
