yes, i didnt think of lexan taking your head off since it wont shatter like glass, good point
but either way, they both suck if you're in a wreck
o, and no, 4th gens are all glass t-tops
i was just referring to mine (lexan)- which was made that way for weight savings supposedly, or it may have just been cheaper because the early 3rd gens up to somehwere around 87-90 or something had glass, but then they did the lexan thing
don't know for sure, but i'll findthe answer somewhere

Lexan windshields are not DOT approved.
They do not shatter when you are involved in an accident.
Safety glass will break in a million little DULL pieces, you should not get cut too badly, but lexan...
