Leaky Fuel Rails Need Help

Hey everyone. I need some help. For quite some time I have been trying to stop this damn leak that occurs within the pipe that bridges the fuel to the fuel rails. I no that there is a bracket there to hold the pipe into place. I have messed with that as well. Also I have swapped out the seals and used RTV. One side still leaks. (Driver Side) Can anyone give me some advise on how to really stop this leak. Im trying to make race on Thursday in Irwindale Ca, Thanks
Chris

All that's there is an O ring so if you have changed those out and there's still a problem I don't know what to tell ya. Are you sure it's from the rail/regulator union and not somewhere else around there? Both your fuel lines hook up there and there is a possiblity of your regulator leaking all beit slight.

If Im not mistakin. The Fuel regulator is located behind the intake. The part that is leaking is that pipe that sits behind the Throttle Body. I think I might have to jam it up in there really good or something

Oops, you're right. I missed that part, just saw drivers side. If you have a new o-ring then I don't know what else to tell you. Maybe the metal is nicked or something so the oring isn't sealing?

Very True Fred. I really dont want to cut any corners. The brackey that holds the pipe into place. Is there any way to make that stronger so that it could create a good jamming into that port?

Chris,
See if you can get the O-Rings from the dealer - or go to somewhere like NAPA or Carquest and get the o-rings. If you need the part number, I'll see if I can find it in my parts book.

I picked up some O rings from Autozone and they fit just fine. But I cant get the pipe to stay in there flush using that bracket.

HEY TODD WASS UP. Happy new year and Merry Xmas. I hope everything is ok with family. NOAH is good and my Wife is good. Talk to ya soon

Chris,
Merry Christmas & Happy New year back at you. Everyone is fine on this end.

Back to your problem, the fuel is leaking out of the crossover tube connections - correct? Did you take the little tabs off to replace the o-rings? If so, did you bend them in any way? If you take it off, we could replace the o-rings here (My dad is a TV repairman and has the ultimate set of tools ) Also, when you replaced the o-rings, did you put a little oil or grease on them to keep them from ripping when they were installed? Finally, how tight was the fit? If they were loose when installed dry, they are going to leak again.

Chris,
I hate the dealer too. Mark Christopher isn't too bad the few times I have been in there.

Have fun at Irwindale. It is just too late for me to go out there. I am in the office at 5:30 AM and by the time I went home and then back, I'd have put over an hour on the road...
