LE3 pictures
Frank they look great but they look just like the set I have sitting in my shop, that will be installed this weekend if I can get out the house for a little while. LOL Lloyd these LE3's look alot better than my LE1's you did for me back in 04 and hopefully that old LT1 will perform up to our expectations this year. Thanks for the awesome work and attention to detail. Later Clint
The aluminum heads along with the ability to map timing and fuel curves makes running big compression on pumpgas very doable these days. I have personally run 11.1 compression along with 150HP n2o on straight pumpgas with no signs of detonation but my tuning was right on.

Anytime I can get your "thumbs up", I consider it a good thing.
Do you think it'll go low 11's with these heads and the 847?Frank

Frank, you can't go wrong with Lloyds work and your car should definately run low 11's if you have everything else right. I think you may run out of gear with 4.10's and a 26" tire but it will be close. Later Clint
yea, those are typical LE3 heads with the larger valve seats and bronze liners installed along with 2.055/1.60 Ferrea 6000 series valves.
The only difference is that instead of using the standard Comp 26918 bee hive springs, retainers, locks and locators, we use the K-800 springs, retainers, locks and locators that he already had purchased.
I was real worried about how much pressure we would have with these springs but they ended up around 155 seat and 400 lbs open. A lil more than I would like on a cast cam but not as high as I was expecting. I have seen people get away with this much pressure before on a cast cam.
Instead of $1700, they were only $1400 since he supplied the springs, etc.

The GM 84x cams are all billet, but one of the lobes on my 846 was starting to go, I don't know if it was the cam going or valve float or what htough.
Frank,
Nice! Your 11's won't be a Problem. I have the LE2 set up on my 96 Caprice with a 355 NA and ran a Best of 11.82@114MPH with a 1.59 60' in my 4,000 Land Yacht
Lloyd does excellent work! Good luck with the set up.
