I designed the LE3 cams to be more race oriented cams where the LE2 is more of a maxed out street cam. The LE3 stuff is not a daily driver type of cam but hell you can obviously since you put 700miles on that puppy already.

Bret did you change specs of this LE3 ?? Sounds veryy lumpy. .
-I know LE3 cams are similar to gm847 and you say LE3 cams not good for daily drive. If so, my 237/245 cam will not be good for street use am I wrong??

if that cam is going into a 383 you'll be fine. I think mine is streetable and I have NEVER driven anything that was remotely "race car." I went from stock driveability to this and I don't think its bad at all. my cam is ground to wind to 6500 rpm in a 383 with ported stock LT1 castings for use with comp r lifters. I told lloyd I wanted some driveability. I got what I asked for.

and looking at my cams valve events its not real similar to a GM847. I couldn't tell you how mine drives compared to a GM847 since I have never riden/driven one.

ill be at island on sunday! and u live in bangor, my buddy greg just moved there, he has a 98 navy blue ss w/ chrome zr-1's. he will be there also along w/ the others in our f-body club. shoot me a PM or something where i can get ahold of ya or something.

drivabilty doesn't have a ton to do with duration and LSA... a lot of things go into it, that's why I do a better job than the average guy.

The LE cam specs change whenever I find something that I think will help them and fit the combos better, I always refine the cams to make more power and from the results that we are seeing they are definately doing that. I've seen higher and higher average numbers with higher peak HP numbers as well even from the old HUGE cams Lloyd had done from elsewhere.

well I took her to the 1/4. it was very hot very humid...

13.4 @ 103
8.8 1/8th
2.15 60'

all other runs were 13.8s except for one that was a 13.6. all traps were 102 except for 2 that were 103.

something is wrong, obviously. its throwing codes and driving very rough now. it seems to be a fuel problem.

there was an 05 GTO running low 14s at 99, an 03 cobra running 14.0 @ 103. so weather was a factor but it didn't take away a second and at least 10 mph.

Do what I said to do with the fuel guage and put it on the shrader valve and tape it to the window and run it through the gears, see what you get....

Yea, I would say something is wrong. Find out what codes are being thrown and go from there. Did you get the car tuned yet?

Yea i dont think its a tuning problem, Madwolf has tuned MANY 383's and lots of 383's with LE3 so we can prob rule that out. Zigroid told me it wasn't spark related, so it has to be fuel i would think, or perhaps bad O2's? Def a problem though, going from a STOCK lt1 to an LE3 383 should be me "alittle improvment" as you told me, it should give u a never ending smile
