LE1/LE2 Heads only?
No, a CAI, Headers, No Cats, Cat Back, and Tune, gets you close. 1.6RR's puts you right there with a stock LS1. A cam, or heads, and you are faster.
But mod for mod, an LS1 will out perform an LT1 until a LT1 car has quality heads on it. Then when an LS1 car gets heads, it gets ugly again. Then you can eventually do what I do and buy a blower and N20 kit and let them sit in your closet until you receive an ungodly shaming bad enough to make you drop the cash for a low compression 383 that will see boost and use N20 to secure the win (Or spool your turbo if you go that route) hehe...
