Will LCA's without the relocation brackets make a difference? I'm looking to add a little traction as my next mod. I need to lower my 60ft time. I don't want drag radials just yet . Oh, and my car isn't lowered either. Thanks

 

you will be very pleased with relocation brackets. they make a huge difference. i personally wouldnt pass on these if i were lookin for more traction

 

new control arms with stiffer bushings will reduce wheel hop and increase traction. LCA brackets will help as well if you use them, but either of these items can be used seperately for improcement.

Just beware of Poly bushings (on both ends) if you want to autoX/road race your car.

BMR LCAs are good and will improve your launch, but I've read that BMR's relo brackets could be better. I thought the brackets were only helpful on lowered cars to get the LCA geometry back where it should be.

 

LCA brackets help on stock ride height cars also. When you launch hard, the rear will squat, throwing off the geometry. This is why relocation brackets are also called anti-squat brackets.

I used the BMR bolt-in brackets and they stood up just fine to my old heads/cam/street twin setup.

 

LCA's are great. I got a set of MAC LCA's and torque arm and the car responded well. I still need tires so I can't speak for traction a lot. The main thing that I noticed was that my car shoots straight now. It had a tendency to shoot left or right when I launched it or hit second gear. Now it has straightened out, unless I nudge the wheel

I think you will be happy with LCA's. I don't have any input on the brackets, but from the previous posts maybe I should get some.

 

When getting lower control arms it's always best to get the relocation brackets as well. The relocation brackets plant your tires on the road much better.

I ran with some boxed lower control arms for about six months before adding relocation brackets (weld-in type) and I could feel a decent improvement. My Z28 is lowered as well but as others say they're even helpful on non-lowered cars.
