Last straw with this cranking but no starting
Re: Last straw with this cranking but no starting
good luck on your car - MENEGRANDE - i posted my bill to kind of show a breakdown on how the shop troubleshooted my car. Hopefully it will help you in figuring out your problems.

Poncho did you get this figured out yet? I've been off the boards for a while now, but i remember my LT1 woes like yesterday, I think I might have a OBDII PCM around somewhere. It will set codes for missing the rear o2's but will tell ya if you need a new one or not. if I do have it its a A4 drop me a line.

Snk good to hear from ya. Been out of the whole Badrap/RevX loop myself. I recall your LT1 was dead as well when last we spoke. What's the status of that?
Well, took my '97 to Leasure Automotive in Brandon Fl on 2/6/06, a shop I found in the yellow pages that claimed to specialize in electrical and diagnostics, and "honest" repairs, and has been around in the same location since '78. Anyways, had it towed there courtesy of my new AAA membership and the following day it was running after a six month downtime. And guess what it was........the stinkin' connector that goes into the coil! A stupid $42.00 GM part! I swear. $192.80 total= diagnostic, parts and labor ($75.00/hr). The original connector was damaged internally somehow. Anyways, after all the mods I added, including the catless Y-pipe and Meziere w-pump, my car runs and sounds like new. Taking the high mileage cats off really made a difference in the sound of my muffler; it's now almost as loud as when I had the cats and an open cutout. Jumping into this car from the '85 Z-28 I've been putting around in is like the difference between night and day. I'm just happy to be back in the saddle again. Thanks for all your suggestions and tips anyways and props to Leasure Automotive.
