So I've been trying to figure out what this was and posted on it before, but it's still up in the air. I live in Houston so it's always humid in the morning, that may make a difference. In the morning when I start the car it make a whistling/ squealing noise for about 2 minutes of running. Then after it warms up it goes away. Then while driving it, if i stop at t a red light this knocking noise comes from the center of the engine bay. It only knocks though during deceleration or a complete stop with the break applied. Do not do it during idle at neutral and at this time rpm's read 1k.

 

Check the belt and see if thats whats squealing...

as for the knock...make sure that its ot the rack or the front suspension or something in that area

 

If its an Auto have you checked to see if its a cracked flexplate if not i would assume you have a bearing bad how does your oil pressure look?

 

somewhere between 30-60

 

so it that normal?

 

umight wanna take a look at the motor mounts they could be on there way out.

 

The startup squeel etc cound be the electric AIR pump running..
That oil pressure isn't bad really..

 

Ok found out today while playing around it only does it while the ac is ingaged and its not as bad when at idle in park as it is in drive while stoped.
