k&n air filter?

i have a 97 z28 that i was thinking of swapping out the stock air filter and putting on a k&n air filter i found on summit racing.

has anyone put a k&n on their car? how is it, and do you really feel a noticable change in your horsepower

thanks

You will not feel it unless you have a super sensitive butt dyno.

The filter panel alone will provide a small upgrade. But a complete replacement of the air intake, with a "cold air intake" (CAI) kit will provide an improvement you can feel, particularly when combined with a 3" full catback exhaust system. Look on the "parts for sale" forum for a CAI from SLP, Moroso, Callaway, GM Performance Parts, AS&M, etc. Just avoid the LG Motorsports G2 CAI.

There will be some improvement, just not a seat of the pants feel. On the flipside, it will be the last air filter you will ever have to buy.
