just put a morso cai on and cant tell any diff.

my car pulls like crazy in first with my mt 410's and stall but as soon as i shift into second it is slow third is even worse it takes me a long time to get to the top of third 109mph

just wondering what other guys with my same mods think

feels super slow except first. then it is like a rocket.

you really wont notice any set of the pants difference with just adding a cai. mabey 10 hp is not enough to tell a difference. if it dont feel fast enough you must need more mods!

Did you remove the negative battery cable for a couple of hours so the computer can learn the new stuff?Just a thought.Hope this helps.Otherwise it may take a while for changes to be learned.My02.

There is nothing for the PCM to "relearn" with a CAI. Any very minor changes in air flow are picked up by the speed-density calculation (93) or by the MAF (94-97). And you don't need to unhook the battery "for a couple of hours" to reset the very few pieces of data stored in the PCM's volatile memory. Pull the "PCM BAT" fuse for 30 seconds.

You aren't likely to feel the differnce in the 10HP or so provided by a CAI. As noted a few posts above, that's below the threshold of the SOTP dyno. And if your car is struggling in anything other than 1st gear, the CAI isn't the fix. Its a more serious problem that you have to track down.

Might want to run the 1/4-mile and get a complete timeslip. That will give you the data to compare performance in 1st gear to performance in 2nd and 3rd, further down the track.

Obviously, 2nd gear isn't going to "pull" like 1st gear, because the gear ratio change has just dropped the torque at the rear wheels by almost 50% (4L60, 3.059 1st gear, 1.625 2nd gear).

1/8 mile tracks is all i have

it is a heavy, light moded car. so it is expected not to be super fast.

i have not sprayed since my stall. i bet when i spay 2nd and 3rd my car will be quick
