Just installed the slp LM today have one ?

damn i love the sound, cant beat it IMO, the only question i have is, the 3 inch pipe that connects to the resonator, that whole connection is low, and im afraid if i hit a speedbump or dip in the road i might do damage to that area or take it off because it hangs low, is there any thing a can do to make it higher, even before i install the Lm that pipe was always low, but now with the resonator being even bigger in diamater its even lower, any help would be appreciated

yes it does, i was afraid it would be to loud, but its perfect, is there anyway to raise that section, or i have to live with that low spot

Make sure all of your hangers are tight and high. I have mine installed and have never scraped it even though my clamps were low at first. I welded the seams and removed the clamps afterward. For obvious reasons (Removal later?) you don't want to weld the entire system. I welded the installation kit that you have to buy for the single cat system and a couple other spots but left a spot that can be disassembled.

the clamps are fine, if you read my post its the connection of the 3 inch pipe to the resonator, that whole section that goes downward, then makes the bend to the tail pipes

I assume then that your referring to the "S" pipe installation kit that you had to purchase extra? If that is the case then you simply loosen the "ball" flange that is bolted to the converter and you should be able to twist the pipe (The entire assembly) to get some more clearance. The only other pipe that connects to the 3 inch pipe is the over-the-axle pipe. If this part is low check and double check the hanger that's located above it.

EDIT: Ok, looks like your talking from the back towards the front and not the "S" pipe. There should be a hanger located above your axle I believe. I could go out and check mine, but that's the only thing right off the top of my head that I can think of.

yes go out and check yr car, like i said before the old sytem on my car ran low to, it seems to be up close to the heat shield, like it does now, let me know what you find, and if you ever look behind yr car from a distance can you see the y pipe at all just curious

Ok, just checked mine for ya. My resonator and the converter are about equal height. My resonator is approx 1" lower than my rear swaybar. I'll bring home my digital cam tomorrow and snap some shots then email them to you from work the next day. Hopefully that will help some. I'll get it up on the jack and get some shots underneath for reference.

NP, that is the lowest spot. I used to manage a Midas though, so I still had access to all of the tools, lift, welder and plenty of experience on my part. The install height was extremely important for me considering my driveway at home.

so yr saying this problem im having can be fixed then, and it is the over the axle bend that is causing the resonator to be low i think, it looks tight i really dont know what else i can do to solve the problem
