Just got back from the track, Dissapointed...
Re: Just got back from the track, Dissapointed...
From the passes I have made, if I spin bad enough to change my 60 foot time, then the time required to get through the traps also increased, but my MPH through the traps increased.

And heres the dyno graph.

I dyno'd 375.3 on the best run, but thats the only one that he got the tach signal to pick up past 5800. And I added an U/D pulley since then, that might have given me 2hp.... My old dyno with my old 210/224 cam was 352/356...

rje said exactly what I was thinking...it depends on how bad you spin. If you are spinning completely through a gear such that you have to pedal the car through a gear, you will trap lower. For example, my car cannot get more than about 30% throttle in 1st gear on street tires (275/40/17 Nitto DR's) without spinning, and I lose around 4-5 mph on street tires vs. hooking the car.

I went to the track for the first time ever this year and spun wildly through 1st, 2nd, and some of 3rd. I had the cheaper street tire kumhos on it.
My e.t.'s and mph were sad. LOL
The one pass I had a good reaction time on the tree, but lost it totally in the 60'.
Get a set of sticky tires and don't be a tire burning spaz like me, and you'll be set.
