The Jet-Hot's for the LT1 does have the 3 bolt flange as far as the ground clearance goes, it may be a slight and I mean very slight difference. My y-pipe was staionary and made for my Hooker LT's, when I put the Jet-hots on it didn't fit right so there is some difference.

Biggest advantage of Jet-hots. If you pay with a Credit card, they will split your payment over a month with no finance charge. So if you order June 1, half on June 1 and half on July 1. Can't beat that.

When i bought my Hooker LT's i bought them from Jet-Hot with a 3 month payment plan. It was a total of $620 with o2 bungs etc prewelded. I paid like $200 somthing a month. And i have yet to scrape my collectors on speed bumps or anything. Here are a couple pics of my clearance. The Jet-hot LT's are basically Hooker LT's with a lower price. Not gonna be much of a difference in the two HP wise.

Not to change the subject but how many of you guys have these on a lowered car and don't have problems?

How much more HP do you think you get from the Jet hot LT vs the Arizona Speed and marine or Hooker Shorties?

I have the Eibach pro kit. I want the Jet hots but I'm affraid they are going to hit on everything.

Thanks

well let's break it down this way on the headers. My understanding is on the dyno, shorties are good for about 7-10 rwhp, midlengths 13-17 and longtubes 1-3/4 or 1-7/8 primaries are good for 17-22. This was research I done for a month on several boards. I was only interested in dyno results and it was tough. I also called several shops and just took their numbers and created an average. You'll get several opinions and mine is just another one, but I did do quite a bit of homework related to dyno. I'm sure it varies car to car depending on mods. My research was for stock LT1's only.

Standard LT-1 stat is 180 from the factory. You won't notice much diff till the weather gets warm.

I agree, it's all in the prep.
I have an el cheapo set of Flowtech headers a buddy gave me some years ago. As you can imagine, they didn't get the best coating in the world at ~$90 ten years back. Either way, they still look brand new, not a spot of rust. I've seen some $200 coat jobs sit for as little as 3 months and show signs of rusting.... all about the prep. Interestingly enough, its usually in the little crevaces between the collector.
Overall, the best, longest lasting header coating I've seen is Swain's. But you'd better like headers that look like a porcelin toilet cause they only come in white.
