I assume you have the steering knuckle removed? If so (assuming the Jet Hots are the same as the Hookers), the header should just slide in from the bottom.

I am beginning to think that my A4 tranny being out for a rebuild was a big reason I had it so easy installing my Hooker Jet Hots.
I took the steering linkage apart at the top and removed the oil filter and mine went right in. Both headers went in from the bottom and the passenger side needed the starter removed and it went right up in there.

It went in pretty easy for my Hookers.

Just slid them in from under the car.

You have to get the car really high in the air.

Jet Hots shouldn't be much different.

You have to remove the oil filter, even for Mac shorties.

Adam, did you see my 3 page long thread about my install progress? And they still aren't done. I have to go see if I can exchange the collectors because they won't clear the trans cross member. I sure as hell hope 2.5" exhaust clears it with rubbing and vibrating!!

Your going to have to do what i did and that is loosen the motor mount jack the engine up put a block on a jack and put it under the oil pan then raise it up and that header will go right in

I did the same. Took me 25 seconds to slide the driver's side up and didnt remove anything. Removed passanger side motor mount and loosened the driver's side motor mount, jacked up the engine a good 3.5" and slid the passanger side up effortlessly. I thought I had it hard but I guess I'm one of the lucky ones that my LT install went smoothly (for an LT1 anyway).

eh, we removed my steering nuckel and.. um.. i think that was it. slid in from the bottom.

had to relocate the cruise control behind the metal heat shield protecting the brake lines though, and had to slightly bend the heat shield so that there is like a 1 - 2 mm gap between it and the header, no problems so far...
