need part #'s for pistons and rings

these are for a 96 LT1. it has been bored .30 over and honed too. the stock crank has been turned and i am using stock rods. i want forged pistons but only want stock compression. can someone give me some part #'s for flat top pisons and rings to go with them? any help is appreciated. cheap is best as this is a budget motor

If it's really a budget buildup, you will want to get pistons close to the stock weight to avoid the need to rebalance. I'm not sure, but it wouldn't surprise me if GM makes one. However, if you want a forged piston it will be heavier and therefore require rebalancing. Forged is not as good as a good set of hypereutectics for a non-boosted, non-juiced street motor. Why not call KB, who makes some nice hypereu's? Their web site is http://www.kb-silvolite.com/

Why did you go 0.030" over? FWIW, the true "budget" way to rebuild would be to hone a couple of thousanths over and get slightly oversize OEM pistons. If needed, by going just 0.010" over you still have another couple of rebuilds left in the block.

the engine is going to be balanced anyway for durability issues. the walls were a little rough so i went ahead and did the .30 over to be on the safe side. this may very well be turned into a small shot of nitrous engine. but the build up itself is going to be a mild(under .550 lift cam on a 112 LSA, cleaned up heads, ect.)

what is the stock connecting rod length? is it 5.7 or 6.0?
the stock stroke is 3.750 or 3.480?
what is the stock compression for a LT1?
what is the cc of the heads?

10.4x (I think it's actually 10.48)
58cc

Now I see why you need forged pistons. If you are contemplating nitrous, get a decent set of pistons even though it's a "budget" motor. SRP pn 138081 is a flat top (with valve reliefs) that's 30 over and weighs ~500gm. Should be in the ~$500-550 range with a good set of rings.
