Jet-Hot LT's checklist..

Jet-Hot LT's w/ Emmision hookups. Do i need a EGR gasket for the pipe that connects to the header?

*percey's gaskets
*ARP 1" 12pt Bolts
*24" 02 Extentsions
*Taylor OVC wires
*NGK TR55's

THe i'll get a ypipe made and weld the Carsound Cat i got into the Ypipe leading into Borla catback

Am I missing anything?? and i just need to know if i need a gasket for the EGR tube or just use some RTV?

Any tips on how high i should get the car off the ground?

Re: Jet-Hot LT's checklist..

where's the beer?

List looks good though, 1" header bolts are a GREAT idea (they rarely ever back out)...but don't ever round off a 12-pt head.

A set of 3-ton jackstands on a mid-setting were good enough for my Jet-Hot install. Be prepared to undo the motor mounts and tranny so you can maneuver the headers in. I think RTV should be fine, though making your own gasket might be better for such high temperatures.

Floorjack and Jackstands
You'll need lots of room to maneuver those LTs.
Check Javier's page for some great info: http://www.zmydust.com/headers/index.htm

I beleive the A.I.R. nut was 22mm, make sure have a box-end for that one.

Soak the old bolts in WD40 (or similar spray) the night before to get them loose.
If you break a bolt off in your heads, you may wish you had.
(Unless you are looking for an excuse to get ported heads installed)

More like a keg... if you have access to a shop lift, USE IT. If not, get that sucker off the ground almost high enough to stand the actual header up. We used big 12"x12" railroad ties stacked up with ramps on top of it for my friend's car. Good luck.

You don't need to, it seals itself during operation.

For my long tube install, the drivers side went in through the bottom and the passenger side from the top. I would also buy a few cans of PB Blaster and really soak all of that old hardware to make disassembly easier. As for the EGR, there is not gasket for it, I just used a little high-temp RTV and it sealed real good.
