Will the LE2 package pass emissions in a stroker?
Will the LE2 package pass emissions in a stroker?
I once heard that the extra cubic inches a stroker provides allows you to get away with a larger cam. So...assuming this statement is correct, will the stage 2 cam pass the sniffer test as part of a 383?
Re: Will the LE2 package pass emissions in a stroker?
I really hate to give up performance because of emmissions but I need to find out how far I can go while still passing the sniffer test. If a 383 will give me the best chance of passing while providing better performance, that's the route I'm willing to take.

It will be hard for you to pass emissions. I guess you're building a stroker and leaving the egr, air pump, and all the exhaust emission hook-ups (AIR)? I would maybe try to find an area w/o emissions where you can get a PO Box and get your licensing done there. That way you don't have to sacrifice performance to pass emissions. I do know of a guy that had a 600 rwhp pro-charger car that passed emissions. He went to the junkyard and bought like 3 catylitic converters and welded them in-line. He choked it down until it passed. Good luck.
