Jet cooling fan controller for my '95 Z.

It appears that the easiest way for me to install the Jet sender is to just remove the pass side exh mani first (I've got fresh bolts there now). But,before I go that route, has anyone ever tried connecting the sender to the lower block plug on the same side? This plug is easy to access, and I've already used it to drain coolant before.I expect that temps might be a little lower down there, but the sender will still be at least 20 degrees ahead of the curve. What do you guys think?Has anybody out there already done it,and
how is it working for you?thanks men, edman

You dont need to remove the manifold to install that sender. Locate it with your finger (it helps to use a flashlight and a small mirror if you're not sure where it is) and remove it with an 8 mm drain plug socket. They suggest a piece of 5/16 square steel stock but that didn't work for me.
