Depends. Sheet metals are availible for big money. Other than that sigle plane conversions can be done but thier expensive also. Edlebrock has one on the way but who knows if it will be any good.

What exactly are your goals? The LT1 intake can support a very good amount of HP.

Re: intake question...

Yeah you "need" an aftermarket intake . People are too quick to asume that because the gen1s and gen3s have genuine upgrades for the intake readily available that we need one but http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=450012 they would largely be wrong.
Best advise I can give is do a whole lot more reading before spending a dime you will be amazed what JUNK the aftermarket offers. Spend some time on the forums and you should quickly learn who is worth listening too.

The one advantage the Edelbrock piece has is the air-gap form factor. It's well known that the heat soak on an LTx manifold can affect your ETs and I have seen an iced manifold be worth a 10th in the quarter mile many times.

I think it might be a fair question as to whether or not 1/10th is worth the cost of a manifold.

In terms of power, well...
The stock piece actually does real well even in N/A form.
