I went with the shampoo bottle as well, I haven't been able to justify $70 for another elbow yet, but I will eventually. Probably get a Trick Flow or Vortech and polish it.

i cut the donkey dong off just below the elbow and filled the short resulting peice with two part epoxy.

I have messed up 2 stock elbows from putting them on wrong and them getting heat molded while being folded on the TB (yes I suck)..
The reason I got mine is so this wouldn't happen again!
And as for heat soak...I've taken mine off after a heat cycle, and when I touched the inside, it wasn't hot at all... God bless aluminum!

I have the Trick-Flow piece and I had mine heat barrier coated on the outside and inside. It looks so much better than the ugly stock rubber donkey dong equipped elbow.
