instructions for removing engine

Anyone have a link for instructions to remove the engine out of the car? Would it be best through the bottom or top? thanks

Don't have any links but either way is possible. Depends on what kind of tools you have.

Re: instructions for removing engine

If you plan on removing it from the top...a Haynes service manual will have instructions in it.

Happy hooker didn't work for me. The cherry picker hit the front of the car when the motor still needed to go back another 4 inches or so.

What I should look into are wing nuts and velcro so it is easier to put back in

I am curious as to what problems you encounter from trying to pull the engine from the top? can it be done? and does someone have a link for it.

Thats a Horsepower TV episode that they pull an LS1 from an SS. An LT1 would be similar, it's the same idea. Good Luck.
