Installed the LTCC setup today!! WOW!!

Well, I got the LTCC setup installed today. In a word, WOW!!!!

I think I have been chasing my tail trying to get this car to idle better. I spent alot of time drilling the hole larger & larger in my BBK throttle body to get the IAC counts down. Well now after the install, it is idling at 1100 RPM!!! It idles better cold, has much criper throttle response, and just feels way better on the low end. I havn't had my foot in it yet, so I'm not sure about top end.

I am hitting the track on Sept. 6th to I will see if it actually made any difference in how it runs up high.

But so far, this is one of the best mods I have done to help this car run with the stroker. (383, Xtreme 236/242 cam)

Again, I recommend this mod!! I love my car again!!

WWWWWEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

The opti should survive water ok, it's the coolant that will do them in quickly.

Repo, do you have an pic's of the LTCC installed? It sounds like a pretty good system, but I'm not too keen on that pile of coils on top of the manifold look. I'm asking because I spent a good while cleaning/painting/polishing mine. I don't really want to hide it now.

You can mount the coils wherever you want (although the closer the better probably for less resistance) but I'm sure a few extra feet isn't going to hurt you. I even saw one guy from this site mount them under his car by the radiator.

I second your WOW.
I've been running the LTCC for 3 weeks now and the
car has never run better.
Smoother idle, and it revs so much QUICKER.
Not to mention the outstanding customer service.

That is a cool setup Fred. Any problems driving through puddles, etc. (Not that your car sees many!) Water/moisure would be my only worry about putting them there.

So whats involved in getting the ltcc setup to work? I know you need 8 coils and you use the optical section of the opti as a crank position sensor correct? Is there some other componenet you need to make it work?

Would this or a dynaspark be a better choice???

You can buy a dynaspark that is specifically made for the LTCC setup. It just has the optical sensor in it. No rotor and connections for wires.
