Installed hooker catback
Installed hooker catback
I decided to go with the hooker catback, and installed it saturday. The install was a PITA, I had to cut the intermediate piple on both ends because it was too long, so i cut an inch off the front, and it was hanging down too low, so i cut an inch off the back. Then I had to cut an inch off the right tail pipe to get it to clear. Other than that, the install went good. It sounds 10x than my old 2002 WS6 exhaust, the hooker is alot deeper and cleaner sounding under full throttle, and it has gotten rid of the rasp that I hated. So overall, I give it a
.
wow i got my hooker back in may or so and mine was a perfect fit i didn't have to cut anything and it took an hour or so to install and like 20 minutes to line up the tips. i love it. good luck with urs.
So you don't have rasp anymore? You don't have cats right?
I would LOVE to hear a sound clip. I want long tubes, but I can't stand the sound of a rapsy, hollow exhaust. If the catback got rid if that, then that's awesome.

The hooker catback and jet hot lt's with no cats sounds awesome thats the only word to desribe it. Sounds kind of tame at idle but when you get on it wow it screams nice sound to it
Yeah sry to here the install was such a pita. It was also a perfect fit for me. The only problem i had was trying to get the olld exhaust off. I had to cut apart the pipeing because it would not pull apart.
No rasp at all, I'll try to make a vid of it this week. When I get on it, it sounds deep and smooth, alot better than before, no rasp at all. I'm 100% satisfired with the sound, and the muffler is definatly not a restriction at all. It just has honeycomb lining the sides of it, the exhaust gases don't pass through it though, and the middle is empty, so there is no restriction at all.
hooker install
i will be installing my new hooker catback exhaust tommorrow. I hope that everything goes well i am replacing the stock exhaust and i am thinking i will need to cut the pipes to remove the stock exhaust right before the rear axle. If anyone knows an easy way to remove the stock exhaust please let me know thanks.
I shall post what my results are.

when the car is up on jacks just cut the old i pipe right above the axle. the back section will be held on by the exhaust hangers, just take those off and the back section will just slide right out, the front section will most likely just fall out if you have the front unbolted from the cat. its pretty simple, hope it goes as smooth for you as it did for me. any ?'s just pm me.
